Can I switch from student to worker?
Yes, it's one of the most common modifications. If you've held your student authorization for less than 1 year, you're required to meet the full set of initial-authorization requirements; with 1 year or more, the requirement is lighter.
Can I switch from employed to self-employed, or the other way around?
Yes, within an already-granted work permit you can request a change of modality. The documentation depends on which direction you're changing.
